As I said in my Day 2 Journal, I like retro. Here is an example from a very recent Fave: The vibe is just right, and took me back to my youth. While these aren't exactly my five latest faves, I did have a lot of recent additions (most on the same day), so it is in keeping with the spirit of the Day 3 theme. This next one made me think of Innsmouth, of HP Lovecraft fame. (I do tend to have Fave Days, in which I go on DA safari in search of interesting items.) I particularly like the light that indicates that something is going on. That it is in the dead of night hints at the nefarious nature of the activity. The overall tone of this one is replicated in a number of others pieces, which give all of them a somewhat spooky air. Okay, it wouldn't be me without vampires, so here we have a retelling of Jonathan Harker and the three brides from "Dracula".
